The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has released an update concerning the rumours that the results of some candidates who took part in the 2020 UTME have been cancelled.
Earlier, there were reports that candidates who took UTME on Monday could not access their results, causing fears that their results might have been cancelled
According to JAMB, JAMB has not cancelled the results of its examination conducted on Saturday, March 14, Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17, 2020. This was revealed by the JAMB spokesman, Dr. Fabian.
The JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin said the results of the March 14th were initially placed on JAMB’s website but some fraudulent individuals were copying and manipulating it to deceive unsuspecting candidates which made JAMB remove it from its website.
JAMB, therefore, asked candidates to disregard rumours making the rounds that the results have been cancelled.
This means that the scores of candidates who saw their results on JAMB website before it was removed are still valid. Candidates are advised to follow the SMS method :
This method requires that you use the phone number you used to create your profile code during JAMB registration to send a message (make sure you have airtime of at least N50).
- Send RESULT as sms to “55019“
- Wait for 10 – 30 Minutes
- Your 2020 UTME Score will be delivered to Your Phone via Text Message.
NOTE: Thet RESULT must be typed in capital letters. SMS cost N50 charge. Do not resend the message if 30 minutes is not elapsed.
Please note that the results are being released gradually. If you check your results now and get a response like “No Result Yet” Do not panic. Just check back later to know if your result has been uploaded because JAMB results are usually released in batches.
If JAMB has seized or withheld your result for one reason or the other, the reason will be displayed; for example,
1. You were involved in Malpractice
2. You missed your schedule
3. You were too late for the exam
If you’ve been able to check your 2020 JAMB result, please do well to let us know on the comment box and indicate the day you wrote the exam. Also, if you have any issues or questions, let us know using the comment section.
